Mohan Perera is the founder and CEO of M&M Twins Limited. Mr. Mohan started his career as a banker, working at two of Canada’s largest banks in multiple roles. In 1980, relying on his professional talents and his passion for entrepreneurship, Mohan incorporated M&M Twins Limited in Canada.
Having pioneered the concept of ethnic foods in Canada through his entrepreneurial zeal, Mohan was awarded Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year in 2001. The prime minister of Canada recognized Mohan for his foreign trade initiatives and his excellence in international business..
In addition to his interests in M&M Twins Limited, Mohan was a working director of Margosa Credit Union, vice president of the Canada-Sri Lanka Business Council , and is a member of many trade associations, including the Metro East Chamber of Commerce , the Canada Importers Association , the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce, the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce , and the Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce . Mohan has three decades of experience in the food industry.
Mr. Doyle is the CFO of M&M Twins Limited. Eddison has over 30 years of cross-industry experience in finance and business operations. He has held various senior executive positions, including senior marketing executive, CFO, and COO, in major, global companies, such as AT&T and Lucent Technologies Canada Corp. Eddison also acts as president and CEO of E. Doyle Business Services Inc., a strategic management and accounting firm.
Eddison is responsible for all strategic financial planning activities at M&M Twins Limited and for reviewing all supplier and customer credentials prior to the development of contractual relationships. He is also operationally involved with the marketing team at M&M Twins Limited, providing his support and expertise in this arena in addition to his role in finance.
Eddison serves on the boards of a number of private, academic, and not-for-profit organizations. Throughout the years, he has received numerous academic and corporate awards. He is also a sought-after speaker who has delivered feature addresses at several business seminars.
Eddison holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the University of Toronto. He is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA) (UK), a certified general accountant (CGA), a member of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute, and a member of the Financial Executive Institute . He is also a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Diploma Program , “Driving Corporate Performance .”
Mrs. Chandrani is the director and head of Supply Chain Management for M&M Twins Limited. She has more than three decades of experience in the ethnic food industry sector. Chandrani and Mohan together are responsible for the growth and development of M&M Twins Limited.
Chandrani has sound knowledge of the demands and requirements of ethnic and immigrant communities, through her experience in the food sector and her involvement in community and other social service activities spanning over 25 years. Chandrani possesses the skills and competencies to identify appropriate suppliers and develop long-standing relationships with them.
In addition to her tasks as head of Supply Chain Management, Chandrani also overlooks the ordering process and provides customer service to over 250 outlets in the Greater Toronto Area, comprising independent retail stores that she has contributed to building over the years.
Mr. Travien is involved in sales and marketing for M&M Twins Limited. He is a college graduate in the field of management and business administration. He has gained experience in process documentation, organization, and customer relationship management through his work experience in the corporate sector. Travien also has extensive skills in sales and marketing due to his work experience at Vector Marketing and as a real estate agent.
As an HR manager for a local moving company, Travien developed a knack for handling people and relationships, managing employees, and negotiating contracts. He proved himself a worthy mediator between upper management and staff. Travien spent three years working in various departments at Rogers Communications, including work in the finance department in a supportive role during the completion of year-end duties in 2005. His employment was extended due to his work ethic, and he was transferred to the accounts payable department, where he filled the position of data and archive administrator. Travien was responsible for recommending and implementing process improvements to improve efficiency in the work environment.
During the buyout of Sprint by Rogers, Travien was pivotal in transferring and recording documents for both the finance department and the accounts payable department. He was also entrusted with documenting and coordinating the location change of the accounts payable department from 333 Bloor St., Toronto, to its new office building.
With the experience he has gained over the years and his ability to analyze and react quickly, Travien has proven to be an extremely effective team member at M & M Twins Limited.
Mr. Keith is the development manager at M&M Twins Limited. He has a bachelor of science degree and joined the company four years ago. He has three years of experience at Rogers Communications, managing offsite storage in the accounts payable department and verifying and resolving payment issues on the accounts payable hotline.
Mr. Keith has substantial knowledge in process development (implementation and procedure), and his skills are further complemented by his 10 years of military service and his attention to detail. In the past, his skills allowed him to redevelop and streamline Rogers Communications’ accounts payable offsite storage, as well as implement a numbering system and procedure to secure weapons for Charlie Company Vaults at the Land Force Central Area Training Centre.
At M&M Twins Limited, Mr. Keith is tasked primarily with developing the company product portfolio. He also develops and refines new procedures to facilitate company growth.
Using his technical abilities and science background he works directly with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency to bring M&M’s world wide products in line with Canadian composition & labeling standards.
